-Frequently Asked Questions About Artificial Christmas Trees / Chrismas Decor-

Why should I buy a Christmas tree with hinged branches?

The hinged branch process on Artificial Christmas Trees is the quickest and easiest to assemble. You only have to put the trunk poles together. Since all the branches are permanently attached to the tree trunk pole with hinges, the branches just simply fold down into the correct position, making assembly quick and easy!
Another advantage of artificial christmas trees hinge construction is that it will allow anyone to put on the Christmas lights permanently so you do not have to light your Christmas tree every year.

How do I shape my Christmas Tree?

The artificial Christmas tree you buy will usually come in three sections. The best way to shape the tree is to let down one row of branches at a time, tie the rest back up and shape the branches you let down. You will want to set up, shape, and plug in the lights of each section of the tree separately.
-Start with the bottom row of large artificial Christmas tree branches and gently pull down each large branch in the bottom row only.
-Pick one of the large bottom branches and find the short attached branches closest to the trunk of the artificial Christmas tree. Pull out the short branches angling them towards you, then bend these small branches so that they will have a gentle curve in them.
-Now push your two gently curved artificial Christmas tree branches in a upward and outward direction.
-Find the next set of small artificial Christmas tree branches and repeat, but push these two curved branches in a downward and outwards direction.
-Repeat these steps, working your way out to the tip of the large branch using the upward and outward shaping method. As you move out towards the tip of your large artificial Christmas tree branch try to vary the distances of your upward and downward bends. Try not to create any straight lines with the small artificial Christmas tree branches as you move outwards.
-If there is a bare wire or an unsightly tip on the end of your large branch, take one of the small end branches and wrap it tightly around the artificial Christmas tree branch end hiding the unsightly tip.
-Work row by row to the upper part of the tree section. When you complete a section, add the next section. Continue up until you get to the top section.
-When you reach the single artificial Christmas tree branches attached to the tree trunk, bend a gentle curve in the branch. Take the gently curved artificial Christmas tree branch and bend it downward in a low deep dip. Repeat this step until you reach the top row of artificial Christmas tree branches.
-The top long artificial Christmas tree branch (usually is much longer) is bent straight and pointing straight up to the sky.
-Finish by fluffing and blending all the tree branches to give it a natural, realistic feel and look.

You can shape your artificial wreaths and Christmas garland using this same technique.

How should I store my artificial Christmas tree and Accessories?

Make sure that you do not use the box that your tree came in for storage. Since your tree is now shaped stuffing it back into the original box will only make shaping the tree next year more difficult. The lights will be less likely to break or wires damaged if the tree is stored in a bigger storage box or Christmas tree storage bag. Remember that dust, moisture and small creatures present the most common dangers to your stored tree and Christmas decor accessories. Try to use a climate controlled area to store your tree.

What type of tree should I consider buying?

Purchasing a new Christmas tree should not be a spur of the moment decision, keep in mind your new tree should last about 15 years. When you invest in an tree it is wise to purchase a premium quality tree. In the long run the quality and appearance of your tree will out weigh any additional cost or savings.

A common mistake is to go out with the intention of buying the tallest, widest Artificial Christmas Tree you can find, only to get home and find it doesn’t fit. The most important thing to consider is, where are you going to display your tree. Most home ceilings are 8 feet tall. A 7.5 foot Artificial Christmas Tree will allow you to put a tree topper on the top of most Artificial Christmas Trees. If you have vaulted or custom ceilings you may want to consider a taller tree. It is a good idea to measure from floor to ceiling to find the best placement for your tree. You also need to consider the amount of floor space available in the spot where you want the tree to sit. Measure between the pieces of furniture and from the wall out into the room to determine how wide a tree you can purchase. Many tree styles come in both full and slim models, giving you the best selection options available. Also check the distance to the nearest electrical outlet as well. You will also need to check and make sure that there are available electrical outlets to plug in your lights.

Another thought: To make your Artificial Christmas Tree taller, placing a strong wood box under your tree stand will increase the height of the Christmas Trees. Buy a taller Artificial Xmas Tree does add more cost by the manufacturer. Instead of paying for a ten foot tree, you can save up to $200 if you purchase a 9 foot tree and place the artificial Christmas tree on a one-foot tall box. A tree skirt will hide the box. If worried about tipping over, you can bolt a metal tree stand to a larger wood box or bolt extension legs onto the tree stand legs to increase the stability of your tree.

How much will it cost to ship my order?

Because shipping weights, dimensions, and distance are all considered when calculating a freight amount, it is hard to get an exact figure on any individual shipment. Because of this difficulty, we have chosen to charge a flat 20% percentage rate on each order. As most of the items ordered are going to have "dimensional weight" calculated in because of the size of the package, we have found that this standard percentage will typically cover most freight charges. However, we do assume all additional shipping costs if the freight charges exceed the 20% rate.
